Halloween!

Well...I think I earned the blogger slacker award for the months of October and November. Sorry it has taken me sooo long to post these pictures! We had a really fun time dressing Lilyana up and playing all the little games with her. She didn't even care about the candy, I don't know if she actually knew what it was! She just had the best time taking it all out and putting it all back in her pumpkin one by one. She was still carrying around her pumpkin 2 weeks later! Mom and Dad ate all the candy though, she kept wondering how her bucket kept getting lighter and lighter! All in all we made some great family memories!

I have a really funny-yet embarrassing story to share....So Lily and I were driving to her 18 month check-up a few weeks ago, and she was still into carrying around her pumpkin bucket. I let her hold it in her carseat and she shakes it and looks at all the candy. So I am just driving down the highway singing and all of the sudden Lily starts saying "yum yum yum yum" over and over, then I start to smell sour apple....I look in the mirror and she has chewed the paper off of a green "now and later" candy!!!!! She had green all over her face, shirt, and hands!! I was mortified! Joel and I never give her candy! I couldn't believe it, and the worst part was I had to take her into the doctor looking such a mess!!! Everyone probably thought I was the worst mom ever for giving my baby candy. I frantically did the best job I could with a couple wipes scrubbing her face, but her lips, teeth, and tongue were completely bright green! Oh well, such is life I guess! It was pretty funny.
